The Restatement (Second) of Relationships

The Restatement (Second) of Relationships § 22 covers breakups. It's still in draft form. Specifically, § 22 covers "When a person knows a relationship is not going to work out, how long can he/she wait before breaking up with the other person?"
My answer: A totality of the circumstances analysis must be used. Questions to be addressed are;
(1) Is the person considering breakup (PCB) having fun?
(2) Is the person that is going to be broken up with (PGBW) having fun?
(3) Will the breakup be harmful for the PGBW?
(4) Will deferring the breakup cause additional harm?
(5) Will deferring the breakup prevent additional harm?
(6) Is there any chance that the PCB will decide not to breakup with the PCBW?
(7) Are there any other reasons to not break up immediately?
My conclusion: Waiting an entire month isn't wrong if you have a good reason. What do you think?
I'm not considering breaking up with anyone, but this question has been floating around in my head for some reason.

I realize I'm an old married woman, but here are my .02 --
-- waiting is cruel and unfair. What if the other person could have met the love of her life while the PCB moped around with waiting for the right time? It's like when you hire a bad employee -- let them go quickly and as soon as you know you made a mistake. Better for everyone that way.
Yeah, I say get out as soon as you want out. Sticking around only confuses things.
I'm with Shelley and Co-Worker, but you already knew that.
Yeah, me too.
If someone close to the Person going to be broken up with has recently died, then wait one month. Similarly, if the Person going to be broken up with has recently been diagnosed with a chronic or fatal illness, then some delay will be necessary, depending on circumstances.
aLs, I think your factors are brilliant. They would cover the above circumstances nicely.
